le marché en novembre

This parking lot is the site of the Friday and Sunday markets (les marchés) in Amboise.  The Sunday market is the largest in the region and draws not only tourists but also the local residents throughout the area.  I have an ongoing project to take a photo here from the same vantage point at different times of the year and in different weather conditions.

    1. Indeed it is. Just to the right of the photo is a panoramic view of the Loire.

  2. Very nice perspective! I look forward to the next installment from this spot. I haven't been to the Amboise market in a while, but it's always an adventure and a feast for the senses. I particularly like the stands with giant pans of paella and other foods to go.

    1. Yes, I am addicted to tree-lined lanes and alleys. And there are so many here. I used to have my home office look out onto our wooded land. I too often was distracted from work to watch the birds (and deer) pass through. Now I suppose that's my best memory of working ! (Retirement is much better though!)
