Beaugency

The next stop on my virtual bike tour is the town of Beaugency which has this lovely bridge (from the 14th century) over the Loire.  This town has many interesting sites to see and visit.  Sigh, next time.

  2. A beautiful old but still lasting bridge over a "bit" troubled water. I got my carbon fiber leg yesterday I feel great at full height 1.72 m , I had forgotten how it feels to look directly in people eyes and not up to their faces. In all my past dispair I am now just thankful to all persons who cared for me and to you for all your nice words and support. A new life starts.

    1. That is great news Tess! I knew with your positive attitude and good humor you would emerge from this period with grace. And, can I say Happy Birthday ?!

  3. I wonder what happened to my friends in Beaugency. It's been donkey's years since I heard from them and they were already pretty old. Now I'm going to have to try and find out. This post brings back lovely memories (la maison au bout du pont) and I love your composition.

  4. An amazing bridge Stuart, how unusual that some of the arches seem a bit more pointed and the others more rounded, makes it that bit more unusual.
