When I see pictures of the whitened trees I always think ooh those look nice and when I see them for real, I think why can't they leave the poor things alone and green?
Watching the news this evening they interviewed a man who owned a lot of property, including a forested area. This time of the year people used to sneak in and cut down a tree he said, but not this year, he didn't seem to know why that had stopped, but it had. Maybe it was easier to just buy a tree.
What a festive view !
ReplyDeleteThe only thing nicer than a Christmas tree is .. several Christmas trees :) Looks lovely! What part of the States are you in Stuart.. warm or cold :)
ReplyDeleteWell for Virginia, it's pretty warm (in the 50's F)... of course not compared to Perth. No white Christmas this year, darn it.

ReplyDeleteThat is surprising... especially given the cost of Christmas trees these days.
DeleteThe square certainly looks pleasant.
