keeping it in perspective


This water level (crue) gauge is under the bridge Leclerc. We're a long way from the level of 1856 which probably would have flooded our current home which was built in 1850. Alas, forecasts are calling for small amounts of rain for the next two days.

  3. Ken and I drove into Amboise during the December 2003 event. The water was very high, covering a lot of the island, but it looks like a yawner compared to all the other floods marked on that bridge!
