I read that the Chancellery in the garden of Diane de Poitiers at Château Chenonceau was the house of the estate steward. This guy must have been really busy. The front of the house is now swaddled in a thick covering of
wisteria. You can imagine what it looks, and smells, like in the spring.
We saw it in the late spring and it was lovely!
