early morning on rue Nationale

Rue Nationale is the main pedestrian shopping street through Amboise.    The arch is under one of the icons of the town, the bell tower.  On this early morning there was a bright and cloudless sunrise that illuminated the end of the street that opens onto the main square.  A few hours later this area was wall-to-wall tourists and shoppers.

  1. What a lovely photo! It makes me want to be there. I've only seen it packed. It rained the whole time we were in Blois the last time so I couldn't take any photos.

    1. Yes, it is usually packed. One has to get up early for photos like this.

  3. Nice to wander places that are filled with people when they are empty. I like the big casinos at 7am, when the nightly crowds have just left and the daytime ones not awakened yet.

    1. Yes, it must be unusual to see the casinos empty.
