la fête de la Loire

Every September in Orléans, there is a festival to celebrate the history, the commerce, the music, the arts, and the culture of the river Loire.  Highlighted are a wide variety of boats that are classic to this river as well as regional food and wine to taste.  The festival lasts five days and pretty much takes over all of the city close to the water.  It was a fantastic event this year.

    1. Well at the beginning it looked like this... and then the clouds rolled in. But at least it didn't rain and I was still able to get some snaps. And it certainly didn't seem to affect the crowd's good mood.
