This is a frequently found motif around this part of the world. I like the mix of wood, brick, stone, iron, and glass as well as the simplicity of this design.
Yes, the brick and stone is typical of Sologne in particular. I shall publish a similar photo tonight and refer back to yours. The dove-tailing of the stone on that one is particularly attractive.
