I've seen many, many hot air balloons hovering near the château before but not this close. That's the ride I want when I take mine. Also note the 2nd balloon in the background... heading in the direction of château Chenonceau.
Living a little bit further up the Clos-Lucé, we can see balloons around our house, almost each evenings, from spring until now... BTW, Mr Stuart, congratulations for your blog that makes great advertising for our area.
Did you see Echappées Belles last night? The covered the same event you did recently (costumes, jousting, François Ier etc.) at the Clos Lucé.
