la fête de l'Armistice 2015


Today in France, the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I is remembered with a national holiday.  Ceremonies are conducted throughout the country.  The war's cease fire began at 11:00 am on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918.  Lest we forget the price we pay for aggression and war.

  1. I always miss the ceremonies in Versailles because I'm too lazy in the mornings.
