the light at the end of the street

First of all, I want to thank everyone who sent messages of concern after the terrorist attacks in Paris yesterday.  We only got the news when we woke up this morning at home in Amboise.  France is in a state of shock.

This photo was taken a few days ago as the sun was rising and casting a golden glow on the trees at the end of our street.  On this sad morning, may it be a sign of hope for the dawn of the day when there are no longer threats of such attacks.

  1. Horrible news, spent most of Friday evening following the aftermath of the attacks on CNN and BBC.

    1. It's probably good that we went to be bed without knowing about the attacks. Otherwise, we probably would have been up all night.

  2. A beautiful shot. I first heard about the attacks yesterday afternoon. It's on every front page today, as well as all over the news channels.

    1. It's continuous coverage here of course. How many times have we seen this before? So many questions... so much sadness.
