All of the rivers in France are well above normal levels and the Loire is no exception. It's now the highest I've seen it (of course that's only covers a period of two years). Even so, it's got a very long way to go before the town of Amboise would flood. That's not much consolation for the new bike path bridge however. Ouh...La Loire est bien connue pour être extrêmiste: soit à sec, soit débordante. Espérons qu'elle restera raisonnable.

ReplyDeleteHa! That's right, Joe, but I don't think the planners expected it so soon. It's still underwater and with more rain in the forecast, it'll probably stay that way awhile.
