You can tell I'm still using up my supply of April shots. This one was taken before the trees in the background sprouted leaves (assuming they're not dead which might be the case with the big one). I was fortunate to have the farmer happen by just as I was setting up the shot. There wasn't really a lot of green (or "good" green), so I again opted for the B&W.
I love this shot. It gives such a perfect idea of what the farmland here looks like and is beautifully composed.
ReplyDeleteThank you Susan, This is down the road on the same "CR" from the other day.
DeleteB&W suits this shot.
ReplyDeleteIt does give it a kind of an old and classic look I think.
DeleteDid you offer the farmer a big 'merci beaucoup' for so obligingly appearing at the right moment Stuart :) Looks fab in b&w.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I tipped my helmet (bike helmet, that is) when he actually moved over to pass by me. Little did he know I would then "shoot" him in the back.
Delete:)
DeleteBlack and white works very nicely!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, Stuart! It reminds my of my Uncles farm outside of Nolensville.
ReplyDeleteThanks. The farms in France and the farms in Tennessee probably have a lot in common.
DeleteLove it! And now I'm singing again, this time 'country road, take me home, to the place, I belong...' That would be John Denver for me...
ReplyDeleteWell you make my wife (mountain mama) Elizabeth very happy with that response as she was born in (almost heaven) West Virginia !
DeleteYes, once the green has arrived, you don't really want to be posting - or seeing - those non green trees. That's my opinion anyway.
