The first of every month is theme day for the bloggers of City Daily Photo where each blogger posts an image that represents the theme. For today's "squares" theme, I chose the confetti remaining from the
Carnival Parade on the tiles of the town's main street, rue Nationale. See how the other bloggers interpreted the theme
here.
(This is what the
good witch was sweeping up.)
Great square post.
ReplyDeleteThanks ! Next comes the round hole.
DeleteBeautiful photo and perfect choice for the theme.
ReplyDeleteThanks. This was about as literal as I could get.
Deletegreat shot.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteNice shot and the good little witch had much work to clean. The blogger world is very organized with theme days , reflections shots etc. I awaited a pic of the traditional French brin de muguet!
ReplyDeleteLol

I haven't see any in the blogs either, but the TV news did cover them (France2). We are leaving tomorrow on a little vacation, you know how difficult retirement can be ! So if you don't hear from me for a while it's not because I'm ignoring you !
DeleteI wish you and your wife nice vacation time.
DeleteEnjoy and bring back beautiful shots as always.
Tess
what a good photo for today's theme
ReplyDeleteThanks. If only I had a May Day parade to go with it.
DeleteInteresting choice for this theme day. Really like it!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much.
DeleteImaginative interpretation. Like it! Suggests that a lot of fun and celebration took place on these very squares!
ReplyDeleteIndeed there was. I was seeing confetti for weeks after this.
DeleteI think she missed a bit Stuart :) French squares adorned in confetti.. perfect!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I had a better picture (IMO), but I had already used it ! There ya go... a blogger's life is so complicated.
DeleteLovely colours in the confetti, Stuart!
ReplyDeleteThey really stand out against that drab background don't they.
Deleteat least the 'good witch' had a broom - picking up all those little bits of confetti between the squares would be an onerous task!
ReplyDeleteIt would. there must have been tons of it.
Deletethis makes such a great photo! love the colorful confetti!
ReplyDeleteHa, interesting choice for this theme!
