le château de Pocé en automne

This little known château has a wonderful collection of trees on its secluded grounds.  And now they are really showing some of the brightest fall colors that I have seen in the area.  And because of that, today I will offer a bonus photo of these same trees taken from another angle.

Many thanks for all the kind comments to yesterday's post.  Bon weekend à tous !

  1. What a peaceful way to guide us into I hope a wonderful and not too misty week end.
I do not know if France is the place fir the young at heart but it is for sure your place. I have some Namibian childhood friends at home and we are walking on memory lane !
Wish you a nice week end.

    1. It really is. And it's privately owned. Only the grounds are open to the public.

    1. His place, château de la Fourchette, is just down the road. And unfortunately not open to the public. Although, I still don't understand why he hasn't invited us over ! (yet)

  5. A very pretty place, especially with the leaves in full color! And kudos on the feature story! It's nice to put a face to the name... ;)

    1. Thanks. It was not easy to capture them. I went there on three consecutive days trying to get the right sunlight and blue sky. You can see I failed in that goal on the 2nd shot. Everytime I got in that spot, the clouds rolled in!

  6. When I make my millions (running out of time) I am so buying a chateau in France, not sure if I want to live near Mick Jagger though :).. That shot was well worth the time you spent trying to snap it Stuart, nice work!
