le portail


This is dedicated to my friend Joan who visited us awhile back in Amboise.  After seeing this arched entry gate on the street leading to Clos Lucé, she went back home to Maryland and painted a fantastic interpretation of it.

  7. If I use my imagination, I can see a ghostly figure climbing those steps by the dim light of a lantern.
