this is not Las Vegas

For a very traditional town, I was rather surprised to see this new holiday light extravaganza installed in one of the small squares in Amboise.  With strings of lights on the trees in the background, I think it looks like an electric water fountain (maybe that was the intention?).

  2. These extravaganzas are all the rage in France, aren't they? I much prefer traditional ones though. Gimme German streets at Christmas anyday.

    1. I agree. I think small towns should stick with quaint.

  3. hmmm, it looks interesting, but I think you are right - it resembles a fountain more than a tree.

    1. I'd love to do a survey of the locals and see what the consensus is on this display.
