A small tree with a great shadow and I remember well la Place Debré when I visited Amboise a few years ago. My fiancé is a french "chateaux" freak. So the Chateaux de la Loire know me and I know them . Tess
La place continues to evolve, even in the last couple of years. The restaurants now have a much larger space for outdoor dining... which seems to make things a lot livelier. Even the châteaux seem to be always adding new things of interest. So if you want to maintain your freak standing (and who wouldn't?), you'll need to come back and inspect it all ! And I'm hoping you will be able to do that soon.
it makes a great shadow!
ReplyDeleteThe slant of the wall and the low sun helped give it that off-kilter look.
DeleteLooks wonderful against the old brickwork of the chateau Stuart.
ReplyDeleteYa can't beat 500 year old walls for texture.
DeleteThat does cast a splendid shadow!
ReplyDeleteI thought the planter gave it a nice balance... I hate it when shadows fall over.

DeleteI feel like I've walked into a dunno what you call it, silhouette theatre?
ReplyDeleteWell that's a good description.
DeleteIt's a beautiful silhouette shadow
ReplyDeleteAre we sure that tree is not on the attack for something just beyond the picture?!
ReplyDeleteWell it does have sort of a determined look to it ! Shall we say "in full tilt" ?!
DeleteBeautiful shadow in this nice composition, well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Karl. I see you have some great snaps on your blog. I'll be back.
