It's Friday market day in Amboise.  Here is a wider view from last year.

  2. Superbe photo ! Je prends un peu de tout pour faire une bonne soupe ou des légumes sautés à l'huile d'olive with onions and garlic. You cannot imagine how awful hospital food can be!!! I love markets, so colourful.

    1. Cela semble déliceiux ! I know that hospital food in the States is not good but I'm disappointed to hear it is the same here.

  6. I enjoyed enlarging this image to check how many veg we have in common with France :) happy to say all! Looking at the bigger picture it's quite a substantial market Stuart. Bon weekend to you also.

    1. Yes, it is enormous on the Sunday market. I don't think I'll ever get tired of going there.

  7. Beautiful, is this a farmers market?

    1. It's a mix of merchants direct from the farm (vineyard, cheese producer, or whatever) and what I would call "retail" (re-seller).

  9. There is nothing quite like a good farmer's market. I can't wait for ours to open - of course, that will be several months away. The two different market days are a nice touch, too. Lucky you!

  10. I have to drive to find a fresh market with bins like this and with only local produce. This is a lovely picture and I could plan some delicious menus around these vegetables.

    1. Thanks, Genie. It's a great system here... throughout europe for that matter... to have these local markets. And so much more fun than driving to the grocery story.
