This house in Amboise has really got the blues.

  1. Beautiful but a bit too much for
me. The "turquoise"colour is for me one in tropical waters.
    A nice sunday to you.

    1. It's an eye catcher color all right. Not my favorite !

    1. Unusual to say the least. And this is not typical for Amboise.

    1. Yeah, me too. I wonder if it's as unusual as the outside.

  4. It looks rather peculiar.... and that is a very narrow door.

    1. It does look narrow. I think the concept of standard size doors (as in the States) has been a late arrival to France.

    1. Yes, there are definitely similarities. I would love to know the whole story of this architecture. Let me know if you ever find out.

  7. Love the œil-de-bœuf window. This looks sooooo French, sooooo railway French to me!

  8. Aww! and it's so pretty :) It almost looks like it could have been a fire station in a previous life, what do you think ?

    1. That might be a possibility, but that garage door is pretty small... and I'm not sure a brawny fireman could get through that skinny front door !
