This little pond is right next to the bike trail to the west of Amboise. I managed to catch this scene just a couple of days ago when the sun was at its glorious January best. Click on it and maximize your browser to see it better.
I've seen folks fishing there in warmer weather so I suppose so. Recently, though, they put up a fence around it to keep folks, and fisherman, away. I don't know why. I hope it's not because the water is not safe !
J'admire l'équilibre de la prise de vue. Et pas si "petit" que cela cet étang!
ReplyDeleteMerci, Anne. C'est vraiment un scène calme.
DeleteA feeling of silence and far away from the roaring crowd. Beautiful colours.
ReplyDeleteTess
Thanks, Tess. Indeed there are no crowds anywhere near this. And at this time of year, near downtown Amboise non plus !
DeleteThe light is wonderful, the clouds beautiful and I love the reflection.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly was an unusual day for January.
DeleteSuperb panoramic shot of this idyllic scene Stuart. Wonderfully soothing cloud reflections.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I stitched it together from three 'panned" photos.
Deletesuch soft colors...what a relaxing place!
ReplyDeleteIndeed it is. Just like the Virginia countryside !
DeleteOh, that's a lovely pond!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's right next to an industrial site that is in stark contrast. It appears that, and I'm hoping that, it may be shutting down. I hope so.
DeleteI still have to find that bike path!
ReplyDeleteJust go to the place du marché and head west !
DeleteOoooh, I wonder if there's fish in there... Lovely with the reflection of the sky!

DeleteEven without the green leaves, it looks enchanting.
ReplyDeleteThis part of the bike trail just opened last year, so I still find it fresh to see... even in winter.
DeleteEvery time I visit France, I've always thought that the sky and clouds are so much closer than in the U.S. ... and the sky is just enormous!
ReplyDeleteFrance is definitely a treat for the senses... all of 'em.
