  1. Beautiful but a bit too much for
me. The "turquoise"colour is for me one in tropical waters.
    A nice sunday to you.

    1. It's an eye catcher color all right. Not my favorite !

    1. Unusual to say the least. And this is not typical for Amboise.

    1. Yeah, me too. I wonder if it's as unusual as the outside.

  4. It looks rather peculiar.... and that is a very narrow door.

    1. It does look narrow. I think the concept of standard size doors (as in the States) has been a late arrival to France.

  5. That reminds me of one of my favourite houses in Blois! http://www.bloisdailyphoto.com/2013/10/turquoise-and-purple-house-maison-turquoise-et-violette/

    1. Yes, there are definitely similarities. I would love to know the whole story of this architecture. Let me know if you ever find out.

  6. Love the œil-de-bœuf window. This looks sooooo French, sooooo railway French to me!

    1. Yeah, I'd love to know what's on the other side of the little window.

  7. Aww! and it's so pretty :) It almost looks like it could have been a fire station in a previous life, what do you think ?

    1. That might be a possibility, but that garage door is pretty small... and I'm not sure a brawny fireman could get through that skinny front door !
