the pond

This little pond is right next to the bike trail to the west of Amboise.  I managed to catch this scene just a couple of days ago when the sun was at its glorious January best.  Click on it and maximize your browser to see it better.

  1. J'admire l'équilibre de la prise de vue. Et pas si "petit" que cela cet étang!

    1. Thanks, Tess. Indeed there are no crowds anywhere near this. And at this time of year, near downtown Amboise non plus !

    1. And it's right next to an industrial site that is in stark contrast. It appears that, and I'm hoping that, it may be shutting down. I hope so.

    1. I've seen folks fishing there in warmer weather so I suppose so. Recently, though, they put up a fence around it to keep folks, and fisherman, away. I don't know why. I hope it's not because the water is not safe !

    1. This part of the bike trail just opened last year, so I still find it fresh to see... even in winter.

  10. Every time I visit France, I've always thought that the sky and clouds are so much closer than in the U.S. ... and the sky is just enormous!
