It's the weekend ! This very old speed limit sign is on an old industrial site in Amboise. The years have really made it fade... and note the moss on top of the wooden post.
It is low. I suspect because it's not on a main road but on an industrial site. So it's probably not even an "official" road sign provided by the state.
Oh, this is really slow...!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing when this sign was put up, it seemed a lot faster !
DeleteGood grief, I don't think I could manage 10 km/h.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it was a pedestrian street back then.
Deletewhat a cool old sign!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think it has some stories to tell.
DeleteThat's seen a whole lot of years... or decades!
ReplyDeleteAt least !
DeleteIt is planted awfully low to the ground. For les petite voitures, ou bicyclettes, peut-être?

DeleteDefinitely not automobiles Stuart :) 10 would equal.. almost stopped! Wouldn't it be fascinating to know the story behind this sign!
ReplyDeleteWell, it was an industrial site, so there were lots of pedestrians (workers) I presume.
