Oh it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood yesterday, and the flowers planted by the town of Amboise were in full swing. Last year, it wasn't until May as you can see here (and you can also read why Amboise is a "ville fleurie").
What does that mean Stuart.. that last year your winter was even colder making spring flowers bloom later? Ville Fleurie sounds absolutely wonderful, enjoy :)
Half of our tulips are already finished. Spring really is early this year!
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting since they seem to be at their peak here.
DeleteHello there Amboise Georgia O'Keeffe!
ReplyDeleteHa ! Just wait until the coquelicots arrive !
DeleteThe colours are stunning!
ReplyDeleteAnd there are so many of them in the large beds around town. They're hard to capture I think, so I "focused" on some individuals.
DeleteMy sunday was not good at all. much physical suffering but now seeing these tulips I feel better. Good night.
ReplyDeleteTess

DeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks William.
