determined beauty

This delicate little flower (around 1 inch / 2.5 cm) was determined to survive in spite of hanging on precariously to the side of the stone levee.

  1. You made a charming shot of this little flower which offers proudly its unique blossom. I love when in a hostile environment we can see how flowers as this one and buttercups or only grass show how nature struggles to survive.

    1. Yeah, it's quite the soft, warm contrast to the cold stone.

  4. I know this one.. but can't remember it's name unfortunately. Yes it always surprises me when I see plants growing out of tarmac on the roads..how!

    1. Yes, it's a reminder that no matter what people build, it will be overwhelmed by nature over time.
