église Saint-Florentin en hiver

Here is a view of this old church in the midst of winter.  (And here's a shot of it in summer.)

  1. Oh I love the summer shot , the color is amazing, the moon and the small ray line of the jet on the right contribute to a special composition . Very very beautiful !
The wintershot is a bit austere. There seems to be a flat in the tower, that´s nice. Concerts and art exhibitions are a good way to keep this old church alive.

    1. Yes, it's probably not fair to compare the dreary winter church with the summer one ! Anyway, it is a nice, somewhat intimate, space for those events in any season.

  4. An interesting contrast between now and summer. Here it looks quite imposing.

    1. I think that's only because I'm so close... it's really not very big.

  5. The summer photo has a lovely glow, but this shot suits this time of year. ;)

    1. Thanks. You may have noticed I'm posting a lot of B&W lately since there's not much glow around here now !

    1. Yeah, the difference between summer and winter in Amboise is quite dramatic. Finding decent winter shots can be a challenge.
