February sunset

Well this was easy.  I just walked out my front door and took this from our terrace towards the west and our neighbor's house.  These clouds remind me of one of my favorite artists.

  1. William Turner ? Un ciel en feu à Amboise. Magnifique.

    1. Vraiment je pense de Maxfield Parrish, mais Turner serait une bonne choix aussi.

  2. It's a lovely shot, and the red touching the clouds makes it all the more so.

    1. The sunsets here at this time of year aren't as dramatic as the warm weather ones, but maybe even more appreciated in the midst of all the grayness.

    1. Well you piqued my interest on this idea. Googling it, I found that he actually did visit the Loire. But no famous paintings came out of it. Mainly a book of wood engravings. Here is what I found. Too bad he didn't stay.
