Limeray

Limeray is a small town (around 1200 inhabitants) about 15 minutes from Amboise by bicycle. This was rush hour last Wednesday. OK, I'm kidding of course but there really isn't much car traffic through here and it is a wonderful place to ride a bike as these guys can attest.

Another photo from my bike ride last week... this one taken in the nearby village of Limeray. I had not seen this building before and really enjoyed seeing its art deco look in the bright sunshine.

About Amboise

Amboise is a town of some 13,000 inhabitants on the Loire river about two hours south of Paris by car or train. The Loire river valley is home to over 50 châteaux including Chenonceau, Chambord, Villandry, and of course the château at Amboise. Tourism plays a huge role in the economy as the area draws tourists who come to tour the châteaux, taste the local wines and goat cheeses, and ride the many bike trails and routes.
