Theme Day nature - "Jackson Pollock naturally"
The first of every month is Theme Day for the worldwide bloggers of City Daily Photo and today's theme is "nature". To see how the other interpreted this theme click here.
For me, this tree severely encrusted with lichens reminds me of the quote "Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life" (Oscar Wilde, 1889).

"T" is for Tuesday

Theme Day - "look down"
Today is Theme Day for the worldwide bloggers of City Daily Photo, and today's theme is "look down". I hope this theme appeals to you as it was my suggestion. My entry for today was taken from the Leclerc bridge looking down onto the shallow, sandy waters downstream of one of the bridge's piers (click on it to see an enlarged version). Click here to see how the other bloggers interpreted the theme.

96 tears
Well not really tears, but these tear-shaped trails resulted from an extremely hard downpour of rain on a stone wall lining my street. You'll have to be from my generation to get the title reference.

a wet winter
A cyclist and another hiker left this nice pattern in the muddy path for me to find on a recent long walk.

glass patchwork
Sunlight passing through a stained glass window makes for an interesting abstraction on the adjoining wall. It's to be found in one of the nearby châteaux of the Loire valley.
