silent Spring

Silence not from pesticides this time, but from a pandemic. It's the first day of Spring in France (although the States beat us to it by five hours, so it was Spring there yesterday).  The streets of Amboise are eerily empty and the only sounds to be heard are those from the birds.

E pluribus unum

There was a long row of fabulous trees like this in the parking lot at the Amboise train station.  As with most panoramic subjects, I just couldn't get them all into one shot.  So I decided to focus on this one.

It's election day in France and everyone is praying.

Here is yet another reason we have the best neighbor in the world.  We can watch this glorious tree from our kitchen window.
