colors galore

There are so many interesting colors in this scene that it just grabbed me as I walked through the gardens at Villandry.

These brilliant colors are not because of PhotoShop but are thanks to the gardens and gardeners at Château Villandry.  They were helped by a September full sun that almost overwhelmed my little camera's digital sensor.

I guess I could just as well have titled this "RGB" as all three colors are very strong here.

This shot from above was taken from the château.  Not a bad view to have of one's backyard.  It's somewhat the reverse of this view.

Seen from above, these gentle waterfalls in the gardens at château Villandry take on an abstract (if not sensual) look.

I snapped this table and chairs at château Villandry where after a long tour of the gardens, one can just relax.

Lavender at Villandry

In Provence in the south of France, lavender is a cash crop;  at Château Villlandry it's all about the beautiful color.  This château was constructed in the 16th century, but it is mostly famous (in my opinion) for its fabulous gardens...probably the largest and most extravagant  in the Loire valley.  You can be sure that this is not the last post you'll see from this incredible place.
