Sometimes in my photos, certain antennae seem to disappear.  Can't image how that happens.  But this time I think they add an interesting touch to this shot.

This amazing dovecote (shelter for raising pigeons) at Clos Lucé was built in 1480, about 30 years before the arrival of Leonardo da Vinci there.

I never tire of tile

As you well know by now, there are many homes in this area with tile and slate roofs (and also timber-framing).  And you also know how much I continue to love to capture them.  This one is on the Ile d'Or across from the château.

miles and miles of tiles

It pays to explore different cycling routes in this area.  I have gone near this place many times but had never ventured down this little road to the west of Amboise. Now I'm scouring my map for other passages I've missed.

I really enjoy the triangles and other geometric shapes that make up rooftop scenes.
