The first of every month is Theme Day for the City Daily Photo bloggers. The theme today is "Photo of the Year". I chose this photo (from February 11) not because it's my favorite but because I think it captures the spirit of Amboise by including the château, the bridge, the Loire, and the levee all in one shot... and all are subjects of many of my posts this past year. Plus the rainbow could symbolize the hopes of the new year to come. Find out how other CDP bloggers interpreted today's theme
here.
That certainly is a stunning photo of the year Stuart! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rosemary. It appears we had similar ideas for theme day !
DeleteWow ! What a breathtaking shot. Just magical. Rainbows and mirages (I admired one when I was on a trekking in the Sahara in 2002) are two phenomenons that always made me shiver. A Happy New Year and 364 magical shots to come. The photographer's eye is a sorcerer. So is yours !
ReplyDeleteTess
Now if you could get a mirage and a rainbow in the same shot ! Anyway, thanks for visiting and if I can get at least a few magical shots next year I will be happy. Happy New Year, Tess !
DeleteWOW! Nicely captured! Happy New Year and all the best in 2014!
ReplyDeleteThanks ! et Bonne année !
DeleteIt's not so often you're lucky enough to capture so many features in one image with the magical touch of a rainbow Stuart... Right time right place well done you :) All the very best for 2014 to yourself and family.
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky that I live close enough to the Loire that when I look out my window and see a rainbow or a nice sunset, I grab the camera and run down to the river bank to shoot. Bonne année et surtout bonne santé !
Deleteoh this is a great choice! happy new year!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tanya. Happy New Year to you too.
