another angle

Here's another angle on a small tree in a planter on Place Débré (the stone wall is the base of the château).

    1. The slant of the wall and the low sun helped give it that off-kilter look.

  2. Looks wonderful against the old brickwork of the chateau Stuart.

    1. Ya can't beat 500 year old walls for texture.

    1. I thought the planter gave it a nice balance... I hate it when shadows fall over.

  4. A small tree with a great shadow and I remember well la Place Debré when I visited Amboise a few years ago. My fiancé is a french "chateaux" freak. So the Chateaux de la Loire know me and I know them .

    1. La place continues to evolve, even in the last couple of years. The restaurants now have a much larger space for outdoor dining... which seems to make things a lot livelier. Even the châteaux seem to be always adding new things of interest. So if you want to maintain your freak standing (and who wouldn't?), you'll need to come back and inspect it all ! And I'm hoping you will be able to do that soon.

  6. Are we sure that tree is not on the attack for something just beyond the picture?!
