gated entry

Here's another beautiful home in Amboise tucked away behind high walls and a gated entry.

  2. I'm not used to closed spaces as I told you already. I think it's typical french to hide away. Secret life, but no doubt this seems to be an old and beauriful "propriété privée ". The gate is gorgeous.

    1. It does seem like a cozy place to keep to oneself. Not much interaction with the neighbors though... although the gates were wide open this day.

    1. I'd have to check the inside first to see how many "projects" there are !

  5. The gate and the house is quite lovely indeed. An ideal place to hole up when one has unwelcome relatives searching their own residence.

  8. I would love a driveway gate like this into the back yard. But, I also like to have a front veranda and view onto the street and a chance to chat with neighbours.

    1. Yes, it's a totally different feel. There are often high walls here especially in the towns and cities.
