asparagus season

Our area is famous for its white asparagus and the markets are brimming with them.


  1. I need to learn more about these gourmet items that people seem to prize. I have often found them to be rather bland so it is obvious that I need to improve my skills.

  2. What are prices like now over where you are? I got some for 6 euros/kilo at our Saturday market, which is down from 9 a few weeks ago.

  3. One of my favourite vegetables Stuart, hardly any calories.. until you cook them in butter 😀
