a tribute to windmills

At least that's what I call it as this structure probably doesn't collect a lot of wind power.  (But possibly some TV channels.)  Anyway, this is another open air art installation in the gardens at château Chaumont.

    1. Thanks! We are indeed having the time of our lives. BTW I didn't mention in my profile that we have grandkids in Roanoke (and so we are there twice a year). Can the world get any smaller?

  2. Hi Stuart and welcome to Perth. Like Tanya I've been having a few envious moments also :) My daughter and I were in France a few years ago and we both have wonderful memories of the Loire Valley, seriously if I didn't love Perth so much, France would be my very next choice. Funnily my husband who has just retired is also very much into woodworking and carpentry..

    1. Well, the NEXT time you are in the Loire Valley, you must drop by Amboise. There WILL be a next time won't there? Besides, I could use some carpentry help !

  3. Why didn't they add the sails so that it would move too? Make it a kinetic sculpture instead of a static one.

    1. Don't have an answer for that one. Maybe the artist preferred the umbrella look ?!
