Well, it's certainly not the first balloon (la montgolfière) of the season in Amboise, but it's the first one I've managed to catch flying directly over our house. One day I hope to shoot the inverse (our house from the balloon).
Here, they tend to launch early in the morning or very late in the afternoon, but only if the winds are light and in the right direction. So it's tricky.
I'm not really sure how many there have been so far this year and we have been away so much. But this was one of the few I've seen, and as I said, it went right over us.
They make for good photos. I will wait for that photo of your house.

DeleteThere seem to be fewer than normal out our way this year. Maybe it's the wind? We're sure to see more as summer progresses.
