Jean Michel has made special wooden "roofing" ladders to repair any broken tiles on our roofs. The ones on the right of your photo are the traditional ones while the ones on the right are self-blocking and more recent. The old ones are hard to find (and more expensive!). You can see where the old ones have been replaced on the right.
wow, can you imagine laying those tiles? the pitch on that roof is steep! great photo!
