To get this classy American fire department pedal car, you would have had to travel to the June brocante in Amboise. Fortunately, there happened to be a nice blue rug to complement the red and white of the car. Happy Independence Day to Americans everywhere !
Lovely interpretation, you must have been keeping this picture just for today. Have a great 4th Stuart.
ReplyDeleteYou are right. It's not easy to find a local photo that reflects this American holiday. Happy 4th to you as well !
Deletecool little automobile! happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tanya. Launch some great fireworks for me and all the other Americans here !
DeleteOh, that's cute!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I never had a pedal car and I still want one !
DeleteI can't tell you how much I'd like to visit the brocante in Amboise Stuart, can only imagine the treasures like this one here. Tres jolie post for today.
ReplyDeleteThanks. There are so many treasures. It's not easy to not take home all of the gems like this one.
DeleteAnd you did not acquire it?
ReplyDeleteIf you are still at Champ de Mars, wait another 9 days. You'll see a rather nice firework then.
Seriously, are you in Paris?
Bonne soirée de 4 juillet !
Yes, I hear they are going to launch fireworks directly off la TE this year (like in 2000). I'm still trying to decide whether to spend the 14th there or in Amboise. We have a little apartment in Paris and we shuttle back and forth between there and Amboise. We're actually in Amboise now but I had to make the joke. Not too many fireworks here either for some reason. But we did attend an Independence day party here with other Americans and Amboisians.
Deletepedal cars are so cute. they look like they'd be fun to drive - not that I would know. sigh..
ReplyDeleteI never had one either. This one was tempting but I think I missed the window.
