ReplyDeleteIt was fun. But I must say I was a bit shocked to see line dancing and country music included! I grew up in Nashville, so to me it was an especially interesting mix of cultures.

DeleteOne of these days/nights, I'm going to try my hand at photographing fireworks. Very much a part of my summers.
ReplyDeleteIf this helps you avoid one pitfall (one that's gotten me several times), don't forget to turn off auto-focus and focus manually (infinity). At least that was a problem with my Canon. Good luck.

ReplyDeleteShe was singing her heart out ! She was also leading the choir at the right at the same time. It's great to see folks having so much fun singing. The audience certainly appreciated them.

ReplyDeleteThis was a good one this year. I had a hard time deciding which to listen to as there were many going on simultaneously.
DeleteWe have music at almost all our festivals, but I've not managed to get such good close ups of the acts.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes - peaches! my favourite. though maybe they won't be the best this year (that polar vortex winter and all....)
and I'm not sure why the Lancaster bomber was out, but you can pay to go up in it and it circled twice, so maybe that was why it was out. The air show was Father's Day - and I was at a music festival :)
I'm guessing our festivals are a bit more intimate than yours, so getting up close is not a problem here.
DeleteAfter spending a life time (until retirement) in the South of the US, I had no idea peaches were grown in Canada. It's hard enough down south !
