Not much. There are some other caves that clearly had been used as homes, but not these. Today they're just used as storage for firewood, etc. I did read however, they the new owner is wondering if one of these has a tunnel to DaVinci's former home, Clos Lucé. Although that may be just wishful thinking.
Cool. Do you know anything about them?

DeleteI think a little more exploring is required here Stuart :)
ReplyDeleteToo late. It's now closed to the public (that would be me).
DeleteI imagine the natural entrances would have looked different.
ReplyDeleteWell there wouldn't be any natural entrances, as all of these caves were created by humans digging them out... usually for the stone inside.
DeleteIt looks spooky but may be it is a secret wine cellar or some cold storage place pour du fromage ?!! The green around looks inviting.
ReplyDeleteTess
Oh, that's a good thought ! If they were mine, that's what I would do.
DeleteOkay, I agree about the wine. And on Hallowe'en you can go and get your wine and be spooked!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's so clever, it's spooky!
DeleteTwo eyes are watching you... !
ReplyDeleteI was waiting for someone to pick up on that !
