It's been three weeks since I took this Sunday market photo. At today's market, the trees are looking pretty bare. But here they are at their autumnal peak, glowing with the back-light of the low morning sun. A wonderful last hurrah.
On a more personal note, this blog has reached another milestone, better to be called a
kilometer-stone, as this is the 1000th post since it began in February of 2013. I really never thought I would see this day.
Toutes mes félicitations. Amboise devrait faire éditer un livre d'art avec toutes ces belles prises de vue de la ville et de ses environs.
ReplyDeleteMerci, Anne. C'est très gentil.
DeleteCongratulations! These sorts of milestones are always amazing on a personal level and impressive to us readers. And as a fellow blogger, I know just how much effort goes into it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that "daily" part of the idea makes it a challenge.
DeleteWhew! That's a lotta photos! Keep up the most excellent work!
ReplyDeleteMerci, mon amour.
DeleteThe autumn trees look so lovely Stuart . Huge congrats on 1000 posts, magnificent achievement, it's not easy to post every day.
ReplyDeleteThanks. And you should well know bien sûr.
DeleteI hope you enjoyed some cool shopping on that day! Happy 1000thst. You'll see, one gets used to being surprised at one's own longevity!
ReplyDeleteWell, longevity of age, I've got that down pretty well, but this blogging thing...
DeleteCongrats on your diligence, vision, and perseverance, Stuart. The first time I "stumbled" onto your blog is the reason we came to and love Amboise!
ReplyDeletePenny
I hope you stumble your way back some time and we'll have longer to chat.
DeleteGreat perspective and colours !
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your milestone, Stuart !
Thanks, Karl.
DeleteBravo on reaching that mark, and what a pretty shot!
ReplyDeleteI took one on Sunday from the same spot. I may just post it to show the difference in three weeks. And thanks for you loyal comments.
DeleteCongratulations Stuart for reaching your 1000 th post! And thank you, again, for inspiring me to stay my own daily photo blog.
ReplyDeleteAnd I thank you for your Blois perspective on life in the Loire valley.
DeleteCongrats! It's amazing how quickly it all goes by...
ReplyDeleteYeah, although it's been quite the lesson in persistence.
