le moineau domestique - the house sparrow


The sparrows show up every morning in force thanks to my neighbor who feeds them. I was happy to get this gal (I think this is a female as the male has a black "bib") to pose for a nice portrait.

    What a very lovely little visitor Stuart, she would be welcome in my garden anytime..I bet she has a much sweeter song than my galahs :))

      They don't have much of a song... mostly just chirping. (Again) I had to look up galahs... wow what fantastic birds... at least to look at.

      I don't know. Pollution? Less safe places to breed? I can't for the life of me remember where I read that though.
