I love this pile of clay flower pots that I discovered in a maintenance area of the gardens at Chenonceau. I can only imagine the work that will be required to fill them up next season.
Voila une façon intelligente de stocker des pots. Peu de place occupée au sol et probablement un vieux mur devenu décoratif. Intéressant Rien n'échappe à ton œil de lynx! Bravo.
We have a restaurant here called Greenhouse (on St.Georges Terrace) you should google it, it would put these pots to good use :) they really do make a wonderful image stacked like this Stuart.
I did indeed Google the Greenhouse and what a cool place. I'd love to dine there. I used to go to a restaurant (when I was living in the Washington DC area) that baked personal size servings of bread in a small clay pot like these (only clean!). It was very clever... and the bread was good. All this just shows there is no end to the imagination.
:-) It looks almost like a bird or insect wintering zone!
ReplyDeleteExactly. Bird and insect condos.

Merci, Anne !
DeleteI suspect these may be a relic from the days before plastic pots.
ReplyDeletePerhaps so but I would hope a place like Chenonceau would have some respect for the past and not use the plastic ones.

DeleteIt makes for an interesting pattern piled up like this.
ReplyDeleteAs I've said over and over, repetition is a good thing.
