Hopefully you won't feel this is overly melancholy for mid-week, but I found these little white lace cloud curtains to look a little too trapped in this dingy window of the local château. Unfortunately, I could not capture well the real cloud reflections in the glass which would have fulfilled today's title.
For those of you not my vintage,
here's the source of this allusion. (And my apologies if you first get a commercial.)
I hate these ads... :-) but I love the title and source and photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks, it was a nice trip down memory lane for me. Joni was a favorite and her tunes and lyrics are still with me (obviously).
Deletegood eye!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tanya. I hope you already knew that tune.
DeleteI wasn't familiar with that tune, myself. Even behind bars, that curtain looks good.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad you got a taste of what was popular when I was still in school !
DeleteI've never seen clouds like this before. Very different.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't know where they found curtains like this... I've not seen anything like them.
DeleteIt's a good song. She won the Polar Music Prize back in 1996. Great artist. And a nice behind bars photo here.
ReplyDeleteShe did indeed join a very prestigious group of musicians with that prize.
DeleteCute clouds, though I despise lace curtains. (no idea why, I just do)
ReplyDeleteThat was one of the songs I tried to learn on the guitar.
I'm not a big fan either since they are so traditional. Now if they were available in some off-center, or even rude, designs I might like them better !
DeleteThe lacy clouds made me smile Stuart, someone who lives or lived here has a whimsical sense of fun oui !
ReplyDeleteApparently so !
