poppies on the moss

I confess I have not gotten a really great photo of the poppies this year.  There seems to be fewer of them than usual.  But I did catch this little bouquet sprouting on top of a moss-covered wall in late May.  The search goes on.  Stay tuned.

  2. These are very brave. Yes, poppies are une espèce en voie de disparition. Cornflowers used to be their companions and you don't see any bleuets anymore...

    1. I did not know that. The world will be a less happy place when they are gone.

  3. Strangely appropriate for today, given the 100th anniversary of the events in Sarajevo.

    1. Thanks for pointing that out. I wish I could say that was my intention but alas it is simply a fortunate coincidence.

    1. Thanks. We have been fortunate lately to have such nice blue skies and interesting clouds.
